1. Introduction
1.1. These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to all competitions operated by Lucky 13 Competitions Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2. By entering any competition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
1.3. All competitions operated by Lucky 13 Competitions are prize competitions based on skill, knowledge, or judgment and are not lotteries, gambling, or betting within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2005.
1.4. We reserve the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. The most up-to-date version will always be published on our website and shall take effect immediately upon publication.
2. Eligibility
2.1. Competitions are open only to individuals who:
- are 18 years of age or over, and
- are permanent residents of the United Kingdom.
2.2. Employees, agents, contractors of Lucky 13 Competitions Limited, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
2.3. Unless otherwise stated, free-entry competitions are limited to one free entry per person.
3. Entry Process
3.1. To enter a competition, entrants must:
- select the desired competition,
- correctly answer the skill-based question, and
- either purchase an entry or submit a valid free postal entry in accordance with Section 4.
3.2. All entries are final once submitted. Entry fees are non-refundable, except where expressly stated in these T&Cs or required by law.
3.2a. Payment for an entry will be taken regardless of whether the entrant’s answer to the competition question is correct. Only entries with correct answers will be included in the draw. Entry fees are non-refundable for incorrect answers, as payment relates to participation in a skill-based competition and does not guarantee inclusion in the draw.
3.3. Each competition has a maximum number of available entries. Once this limit is reached or the competition closes, no further entries will be accepted.
3.4. We reserve the right to refuse entry, suspend or terminate accounts, or disqualify participants where we reasonably believe there has been:
- a breach of these T&Cs,
- misuse or manipulation of the platform,
- provision of false or misleading information, or
- fraudulent or automated entry activity.
3.5 Discounts and promotional pricing, including multi-entry offers, may be offered on selected competitions at the Promoter’s discretion. Any such discounts will be clearly displayed at the point of entry and apply only for the duration stated. Discounts have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be withdrawn or amended at any time without prior notice.
4. Free Entry Route
4.1. A free postal entry route is available. To enter for free, entrants must send a clearly handwritten postcard containing:
- full name,
- full postal address,
- email address,
- competition name or competition ID reference number
- contact telephone number, and
- the correct answer to the competition question

4.2. Only one entry per postcard is permitted. Multiple entries on a single postcard will be automatically disqualified.
4.3. Free entries must be sent via Royal Mail First or Second Class standard delivery only.
Entries sent using tracked, signed-for, courier, hand delivery, or any other delivery method will be automatically disqualified and will not be processed.
4.4. It is the entrant’s responsibility to allow sufficient time for delivery. Entries must be received before the advertised closing date. Proof of posting is not accepted as proof of receipt. We accept no responsibility for lost or delayed mail.
5. Competition Questions
5.1. Each competition includes a skill-based question designed to prevent the competition from being classified as a lottery.
5.2. Only entries containing the correct answer will be entered into the draw.
5.3. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or contain incorrect answers will be disqualified.
6. Draw and Winner Selection
6.1. Winners are selected using fair, transparent, and independently verifiable randomisation methods, including:
- Instant Win Competitions: Winners are determined automatically using a secure PHP-based randomisation system.
- Manual Live Draws: Conducted live using the Google Random Number Generator (RNG) and broadcast via live stream.
- Automatic Draws: Certain competitions may be drawn automatically on the advertised closing date, regardless of entry volume.
6.2. Draw dates are published on each competition page. We reserve the right to amend draw dates in the event of low entry volumes, except where an automatic draw is specified.
6.3. Winners may be announced on our website and/or official social media channels.
6.4. Draw Types – One-Shot Draw vs Guaranteed Winner Draw
One-Shot Draw:
A single random number is drawn from the full range of available entry numbers (for example, 1–130,000), regardless of how many entries are sold.
If the number drawn does not correspond to a valid, sold entry, no redraw will occur and no winner will be declared.
In such circumstances, the prize may be reissued in a future competition, substituted, or otherwise handled at our discretion, subject to applicable law.
Guaranteed Winner Draw:
The draw will repeat until a valid, sold entry number is selected, ensuring that a prize winner is declared.
The applicable draw type will be clearly stated on each competition page.
6.5. All draws are conducted fairly and transparently and are subject to audit.
7. Prizes
7.1. Full prize details are stated on each competition page.
7.2. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered unless expressly stated.
7.3. Winners must claim their prize within 14 days of notification. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture or a redraw.
7.4. Images and descriptions used in promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only.
8. Entry Limits and Abuse
8.1. We reserve the right to limit the number of entries per person or household.
8.2. Any attempt to manipulate, abuse, or undermine the competition process — including automated entries, multiple accounts, or false details — will result in disqualification and possible permanent exclusion.
9. Refunds and Cancellations
9.1. Entry fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in these T&Cs.
9.2. If a competition is cancelled, all paid entrants will receive a full refund within 14 business days.
9.3. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Liability and Force Majeure
10.1. We are not liable for:
- lost, delayed, or damaged postal entries,
- technical or system failures,
- delivery issues after dispatch of prizes.
10.2. We do not confirm receipt of free postal entries and cannot guarantee their inclusion.
10.3. Our total liability to any participant shall not exceed the value of the prize awarded.
10.4. We shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, system outages, network failures, third-party service disruptions, or payment provider issues.
11. Privacy and Publication of Winners
11.1. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the UK GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018.
11.2. Winners’ first names and town/city may be published on our website and/or official social media channels for transparency.
11.3. A winner may request anonymity by emailing support@lucky13competitions.co.uk within 7 days of prize notification. If such a request is received, no identifying details will be published.
12. 100% Money Back Guarantee (Selected Competitions Only)
12.1. This guarantee applies only to competitions clearly marked with the “100% Money Back Guarantee”.
12.2. Only entrants who do not win any prize are eligible to claim a refund.
12.3. The guarantee is activated only if 100% of available entries are sold prior to the draw date.
12.4. If fewer than 50% of entries are sold, the competition closing and draw dates may be extended.
12.5. Refunds must be claimed via the official refund form no earlier than 12 months after the draw date. Claims must be submitted within 30 days.
12.6. Refunds are not automatic and will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
12.7. Winners are not eligible for refunds under this guarantee.
12.8. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
12.9. We reserve the right to verify identity and entry records prior to issuing refunds.
13. Governing Law
These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
